Black Magic Woman made all in the juvenile fillies' maiden at Dundalk to give trainer Jack Davison his first victory.

She broke smartly under Oisin Orr and was ridden passing the two pole to go and win her race.

The Camacho filly took a couple of lengths out of the field over a furlong out and always looked to be holding her pursuers.

She came in by three lengths at 7/1 having been 16/1 in the morning.

Runner-up Gold Jasmine also attracted support from 7/1 to 9/2. She was three parts of a length ahead of Scarlet Skis at 25/1.

Jack Davison, who trains near Dunboyne, said: “She’s a nice filly and has shown me a lot from the start. She ran well first time out and worked well during the week so I knew she had gone the right way from her first run.

“I think she’s a progressive filly and I’m excited about her. She’s a half-sister to London Icon.

“She’s big, has great substance and takes her racing well. We might look at the Stakes race in Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend.

“I’ve ten in training. Initially I held a restricted licence but upgraded to a full licence last Christmas after getting further support.

“I was under no illusions taking out the licence. It’s a really competitive industry but it’s all worth it after getting a winner like this and hopefully we can get another couple before the season is out.”
