Virtual Grand National raises over £2.6 million for Charity

Yesterday's Virtual Grand National won by 18/1 chance Potter's Corner has raised over £2.6 million for the NHS in the UK and Red Cross in Ireland.

All the major online bookmakers pledged their profits from the race to the two Charities. Bets on the race were restricted to a maximum of £10 each way.

The race which was run at the same time that the Aintree Grand National would have taken place at 5.15pm on Saturday and was broadcast on ITV.

The race was watched by an audience of 4.8 million people.
