Mark Walsh completed a treble at Kilbeggan tonight when Much Wants More powered clear on the run-in to land the beginners chase. Speed Demon cut out the running in the 3m1f contest but was tackled by Martin Brassil's charge going to the last fence.

A better jump at the final fence sealed it for 5/2 shot Much Wants More who went on to beat the 13/8 favourite by five lengths.

The winner had been left second by a couple of fallers, including Speed Demon, when chasing home Gallant Tipp at Roscommon last time.

"He ground it out well and the bit of experience helped him around a place like this. You wouldn't want to be arriving here first time!" said Brassil.

"They seemed to go a sensible pace. He hadn't been settling well but on his last run he switched off well and it was the same today. He needs to do that."

Walsh had earlier scored on Carriganog and Portmore Lough both in JP McManus' colours. He carried the colours of former trainer Jeremy Harley here.
