After an opening day double at the Curragh on March 23rd, which included a win for Stuccodor in the Lincolnshire in the Dominick Glennane colours, a Leopardstown brace a week later, and a Cork treble last Sunday, Dermot Weld was back in dominant form on Limerick's card. Pat Smullen again sported the Glennane blue black and yellow to bring up a hat-trick for the yard with Hisaabaat

Smullen won on Sparkle Factor earlier whilst Fran Berry was aboard the other Rosewell winner, Waaheb (indeed the yard's Bush Factor was runner-up in the first).

The stable number one took the reins on Hisaabaat and he made the running. Headed at halfway, the second favourite made progress to get on terms again from before the straight.

Eventually Hisaabaat led inside the final furlong and saw off Waydownsouth by a length and a half in the Munster Handicap.

Smullen disclosed: "He's a law unto himself. He had no blinkers on today and with no pace early on I left him roll along.

"He fought them off one by one. He's a horse that has ability on his day."

F. Lynch, rider of Pivot Bridge (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung right in the final two furlongs.
