Whats The Plot stayed on stoutly under Fran Berry to grab victory in the extended mile and two handicap at Roscommon.

Berry settled his charge in fifth before the pair mounted their challenge with a furlong and a half to go. No Way Jock provided stiff opposition at the furlong pole but Whats The Plot ground it out close home to prevail by a head at odds of 6/1. No Way Jack and Niall McCullagh had to settle for second at 10/1. Nice Vintage was two and a quarter lengths away in third at 11/2.

Trainer Arthur Moore said: "I didn't know if he would handle the ground. He's a smashing dual-purpose prospect, and is from a good Aga Khan family.

"He's developing all the time. I've been trying to run him for a few weeks and we've just had a few niggling things.

"A mile and a half shouldn't be a problem to him, and he won't mind better ground." Pat Harkin the well-backed 7/2 favourite, held the box seat in third on the outside during the race. He moved into the lead over two furlongs out but had no answer when Whats The Plot and No Way Jack went past him. He came in fourth.
