Dermot Weld's easy Galway winner Voleuse De Coeurs routed the opposition to win the Hacketts Bookmakers Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh just as she pleased.

Leigh Roche could be spotted travelling sweetly down the straight on the 6-1 favourite and no sooner had Missunited hit the front than she swept past and careered away to win by 10 lengths.

She had picked up a 15lb hike in the ratings since her victory at the end of July, but it made not a jot of difference as she was never asked a serious question.

Paul Deegan's money-spinning mare Midnight Soprano returned to winning form after two defeats in a thrilling renewal of the Irish Field Finale Stakes.

The five-year-old (11-2) took over the lead from odds-on favourite Chamonix two furlongs out and when Minsk threw down a brave challenge, she responded gamely to Chris Hayes's calls in the testing conditions to hold on by a neck.

John Grogan's filly Katla was sent off a 16-1 chance for the Mick Ramsey Lifetime In Racing Achievement Waterford Testimonial Stakes after finishing last of 14 on her most recent run, but she belied those odds.

Cruising up to the leaders a quarter of a mile out, she was pressed hard by favourite Maarek and Colour Of Love but had the rail and found extra for Seamie Heffernan to prevail by a length.

Plenty were in with a chance in the closing stages of the Staffordstown Stud Stakes but it was Patrick Prendergast's Seolan (13-2) who found most, staying on stoutly for Hayes to hold Rehn's Nest by a length to keep her unbeaten record.

Aidan O'Brien's Magician (4-5 favourite) forged clear to score by six lengths in the Mongey Communications EBF Maiden to extend Joseph O'Brien's lead over Pat Smullen in the jockeys' title race to five.

Joseph Murphy's Euphrasia (10-1) was always prominent under Gary Carroll in the Foleys Antiques EBF Fillies Maiden and ran clear in the straight to score by eight lengths.
