< Another Story is a filly going places and took the next step up the ladder in the matthews.ie Race at Dundalk.

Unbeaten in two previous starts but off the scene since May, Sheila Lavery's four-year-old clearly possesses a big engine.

Having settled in third, Pat Smullen produced the 5-4 favourite with her challenge two furlongs out and she quickened smartly to put the race to bed, crossing the line with a length and three-quarters in hand of Red Avenger

Smullen left it late on Hailstone but got up close home to lead a Patrick Prendergast one-two in the Elusive Pimpernel Claiming Maiden.

Killian Leonard gave Brave Display an enterprising ride and looked to have pinched it, but 11-8 favourite Hailstone eventually wore him down to prevail by half a length.

Leonard employed similar tactics on Red All Star in the Kennedy's Bar, Dundalk Handicap (Div 1) and again he had to settle for second as fellow 7-2 joint-favourite Strategic Heights collared him on the line.< Ken's Sam's (6-1) came off the reserves' bench to claim division two, and his jockey Shane Foley followed up when Allography landed the odds in the Elusive Pimpernel Maiden.

Sent off the 4-6 favourite to go one better than he did three weeks ago, he raced in third until going on with Sir Danilo in the straight, and got the better of the argument by a length and three-quarters.

Paul Flynn sent out his second winner in as many days as the much-improved Try Again (3-1) completed a hat-trick in the Fastfix Apprentice Handicap.

His jockey Oisin Orr doubled up thanks to Specific Gravity (10-1) in the Weatherbys GSB Rated Race.

Ado McGuinness' reliable veteran went head to head with Udogo for the final couple of furlongs but pulled out more where it mattered to flash past the post three-quarters of a length to the good over the staying-on Duchessofflorence < Free State (4-1) brought proceedings to a close with a clear-cut victory in the Windsor Bar & Restaurant, Dundalk Handicap.
