< Goldrush is starting to look like money well spent after stepping up to Listed company in style with victory in the Al Basti Equiworld Carlingford Stakes at Dundalk.

The daughter of Frankel, out of her trainer Jim Bolger's fantastic mare Alexander Goldrun, cost 1.7million euros at the sales and stepped up on a maiden success here.

Though appearing to have plenty to do on the home straight, the 3-1 favourite was steered through the field under Kevin Manning and quickened nicely to overhaul Marshall Jennings by three-quarters of a length.

Pat Smullen reduced Colin Keane's lead in the jockeys' title race to just two when guiding Andesh to victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.

Mick Halford's 5-4 favourite travelled well for Smullen and after sweeping past Man Power at the furlong pole, he ran on well to beat that rival by a length and three-quarters.

However, Keane got the better of Smullen in the final race on the card as Tom McCourt's Ben Rumson (-1) edged out Jock Talk to keep the gap between the two riders at three.

Smullen and Halford's bid for a double on Katiymann was denied by Atlas in the Crowne Plaza Race And Stay Package Handicap.

Sent off the 7-4 favourite and finishing with a rattle on the outside, Katiymann could not get on terms with the leading two as Denis Hogan's Atlas (10-1) finished best of all to score by half a length from Jon Ess under Leigh Roche.

Roche made it a double aboard Pat Flynn's Jessamine (8-1) in the first division of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey And Trainer Championship.< Shalailah (4-5 favourite) ended a frustrating run of near-misses to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Median Auction Maiden, getting up late to score for Joseph and Donnacha O'Brien.

Johnny Feane's Vincita caused a real upset when the 40-1 chance got up to land the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Apprentice Handicap under Killian Hennessy.

Shay Barry's Abraham (7-1) won under Billy Lee in the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Handicap.
