Min has just two rivals to contend with on his return to action in the Ladbrokes Bet 10 & Get 40 On The Grid Chase at Gowran Park on Saturday.

One of the best novice hurdlers a couple of seasons ago, Willie Mullins' six-year-old appeared set to hit similar heights during his first campaign over fences until injury intervened following his Grade One success at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting.

Time is still on his side, though, and he steps up to two and a half miles for the first time against Flaxen Flare and Uncle Danny who, on official ratings, should be no match for him.

Min's stable companion Tin Soldier tackles the bigger obstacles for the first time in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase.

Last seen taking third in the Punchestown Festival Grade One won by Champagne Classic, the French import takes on another exciting newcomer to the discipline in the Gordon Elliott-trained Monbeg Notorious.

The top trainers go head-to-head in a few races on the card, including when Mullins' good bumper performer Carter Mckay crosses swords with Minellafordollars, who was successful in a Navan NH Flat race on his sole outing for Elliott, in the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle.< Sharjah was impressive on his first start for Mullins, who continues the four-year-old's education in the Join Gowran Park Racing Club Novice Hurdle.

Standing in his way is Roaring Bull, who scored at the Punchestown Festival for Elliott and looked a natural on his timber bow at Tipperary.

His stablemate Kuraka got closest to smart juvenile Espoir D'Allen at Down Royal, and bids to go one better in the opening Thanks To All Our Customers 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle at 12.05.

Roja Dove is out to supplement her Fairyhouse triumph in the Cathy O'Farrell AIRO Winner 2017 Mares Handicap Hurdle, while Little Stevie goes for a deserved success in the Irish Racing Yearbook Handicap Chase.
