Review kilbeggan 11th Sep

Trainer Edward O'Grady and jockey Andrew McNamara stole the honours at Kilbeggan thanks to a double with Newt Town Bay and Jack Finch.

The latter landed the Dunbia Handicap Chase by a head from See Double You after a ding-dong battle from the second last. The pair drew 12 lengths clear of the third, Shiloh

"He jumps well. He has had leg trouble and it is a credit to everyone in the yard to get him back," said O'Grady.

"He has been very consistent and he could go for some of those long distance chases later in the year."< New Town Bay (9-1) opened his account at the third attempt when flooring the favourite Pay The Ferryman in the Larrigy's Bar Kilbeggan Maiden Hurdle.

"I told the owner (Martin Campbell) that he wouldn't win because I thought the ground would be too soft. I'm hoping he'll be better on better ground and if he is we have something to look forward to."< College Daisy (100-30) made virtually all the running in the hands of 5lb claimer Ian McCarthy to land her second course victory in the Midland Breeders EBF Mares Hurdle.

"She keeps surprising us and Ian's 5lb claim made the difference," said trainer Dessie Hughes.< Warhead was two and a half lengths too good for Miss Mary Mac in the Louis Vambeck Memorial Maiden Hurdle.

Trainer Paul Nolan said: "His experience probably won it for him and he won a point-to-point as a four-year-old. He was good today and he travelled far sweeter. Davy (Russell) was
