Review leopardstown 14th Jul

< Maybe maintained her unbeaten record with the third success of her career in the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown, but the victory was only workmanlike.

Favourite for next year's 1000 Guineas after winning the Chesham at Royal Ascot, Aidan O'Brien's filly was sent off at 2-7 and everything looked to be going to plan as she swept into the lead approaching the furlong pole.

But La Collina put in a sustained challenge in the Group Three contest and though Maybe was always holding her without being given a hard race by Joseph O'Brien, the winning distance was only a neck.< Camelot a juvenile by Montjeu, made an eyecatching debut for the O'Brien team as he came from last to first in the one-mile Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.< All Approved the only experienced runner in the field, set sail for home in the straight, but Joseph O'Brien hardly had to move on the 1-3 favourite as he sauntered past to score by two lengths.

Dermot Weld had won the last three runnings of the Challenge Stakes with Profound Beauty and he made it four as Sense Of Purpose (5-1) beat off all-comers down the straight.

Pat Smullen led all the way in the Listed contest and his mount simply would not be denied, holding Bob Le Beau s challenge by a neck.

Jim Bolger looks to have a rapidly improving filly in Sunset Beauty (4-5 favourite), who followed up her easy Gowran success by running away with the 'Republic Of Loose' Race, winning by four lengths.

She was completing a double for the yard and for jockey Kevin Manning after newcomer Tobar Na Gaoise (5-1) won a three-way battle for the leopardstown.com Maiden by half a length.

Bolger then made it three when Do The Bosanova (4-1 co-favourite) cleared away by 11 lengths under Ronan Whelan in the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap.

Jessie Harrington's filly Bible Belt (6-1) put up a terrific performance on her seasonal debut as she took the Stillorgan Handicap by three-quarters of a length under Fran Berry.
