Tamadhor drops back in trip for the Invesco Pension Consultants Desmond Stakes in a bid to regain the winning thread at Leopardstown.
The Kevin Prendergast-trained three-year-old reverts to a mile for the Group Three prize having failed to see out the 10-furlong trip in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh last time out.
The daughter of Arcano had previously landed a seven-furlong contest at Fairyhouse on the back of finishing a creditable sixth on her seasonal comeback in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.
Prendergast said: "Tamadhor is in good form and she gets a good weight allowance in this race.
"She ran a very good race in the Irish 1,000 Guineas, she just didn't stay in the Pretty Polly. A furlong out she was probably the only one on the bridle.
"We had her in a few times since then, the ground didn't suit her but looks good for her this time.
"She won well at the track over seven furlongs on Champion Stakes day last year and that worked out quite a good race, while she was only just beaten by Legatissimo on her first start and look how good she has turned out to be.
"She is an absolute lady at home, she is a little bit funny at the start but as long as she goes in last she is fine. I think she will run a big race." Cougar Mountain will bid to make the most of a significant ease in class and hand his trainer Aidan O'Brien his fifth win in the race and his first since the victory of Beethoven in 2010.
Although making his seasonal bow at Listed level the four-year-old has been set some stiff tasks since having been kept to Group One company on his four subsequent starts.
The Ger Lyons-trained Convergence bids for back-to-back Pattern wins at the track having landed the Group Three Ballycorus Stakes when last seen, while Raydara who comes from the yard of Michael Halford, is out to try and claim a first success since the Debutante Stakes at the Curragh last August.
The field is completed by the Ken Condon-trained eight-year-old Bold Thady Quill who was successful in a mile handicap at Naas on his most recent outing.
