Stolen Diamond followed-up on an encouraging debut effort at Kilbeggan, as he took the bumper at Bellewstown, the Woods Financial Services Ltd (Ladies Pro/Am) Flat Race.

Second to Burrows Lane at the Co Westmeath venue, the Gordon Elliott trained gelding was sent off the 15/8 favourite (from 9/4 on-course) this evening.

Ridden by Katie O'Farrell, and bred and owned by her father Seamus, the son of Stowaway raced in mid-division, and was fifth with a circuit to race.

He made good progress to lead with over two furlongs to go, and he kept on well from over a furlong out, going on to score by six lengths. Whitber's Choice finished second under Lisa O'Neill for Liz Doyle at 7/1, while Little Bleu (14/1) was three and a quarter lengths back in third under Kate Harrington for her mother Jessica. Grinditout was sent off the 2/1 second favourite and he finished a disappointing seventh.

Elliott, who was completing a double on the card having earlier scored with Water Sprite said afterwards: "He's a nice horse - a big galloping horse.

"That's our first horse for Seamus and I'm delighted for Katie. She has been riding out for us for a while and rides out a couple of days a week.

"No-one deserves it more. She's a good rider and hopefully we'll be able to give her a few more rides."
