Peter Killeen, Manager of Navan Racecourse, said: "We are now in the thick of our busy National Hunt season at Navan and all of the team are really looking forward to our flagship day featuring the Ladbrokes Handicap Troytown Chase.

"We saw some breathtaking performances here on Fortria Day on Sunday and I'm sure Troytown Day will provide us with another day of top quality racing with an opportunity to witness some of the leading jumping stars in action.

"As everyone knows the meeting went into the history books last year as Gordon Elliot not only won the feature for the third year in a row but had an astonishing six winners on the day.

"He has certainly raised the bar high for himself this year and it will be interesting to see if he can clinch the Troytown Handicap Chase for a fourth time.

"It is terrific that Ladbrokes continue to support Navan and I would like to take the opportunity to thank them for their sponsorship of such a prestigious and historic race."
