The Grade 2 Clonmel Oil Chase is one of the few major races in the Irish National Hunt calendar to have so far eluded Gordon Elliott but the trainer may well rectify that tomorrow.

Elliott is responsible for three of the six runners in the extended 2m4f showpiece having declared the Gigginstown House Stud owned pair, A Toi Phil and Tiger Roll, along with the veteran Realt Mor which was third in the race in 2014.

Elliott trained runners have finished second in each of the last two renewals.

Henry de Bromhead, successful with Sizing Europe in 2012, will put up stern opposition to Elliott as he runs both the highly rated Champagne West and another Gigginstown contender Balko Des Flos.

The sextet is completed by the Mouse Morris trained Alpha Des Obeaux, the fourth Gigginstown runner.

Morris has also been victorious in this race having won the 2005 Clonmel Oil Chase with War Of Attrition.
