Dixie Highway finished with a flourish to take the extended mile and a half handicap in Tipperary for Pat Flynn and Leigh Roche.

He began her run in the final quarter of a mile and found another gear well inside the last furlong to cut down Northern Sky with 100 yards left.

He was driven out to score by a neck at 25/1. Northern Sky was second at 8/1. Mastermind finished two lengths back in third at 3/1.

With 18 runners going to post, Time For Mabel s backers at 25/1 got a place reward.

"He just didn't stay the last day at Clonmel over two miles,” Leigh Roche said.

“I got a nice position and he settled very well as he can be keen. I got a nice lead into the race and got there anyway. He deserves that win as he's been hitting the crossbar the last few times.

“Pat had him in great form, to get him to run as well as he did for the last three or four runs, and he's done a great job with him.”
