Enda Bolger’s classy Ballyoisin is the star turn in the Odds Boost Your Bets On The Ladbrokes App Chase at Punchestown on Wednesday evening.

Owned by JP McManus, the seven-year-old is rated 157 but is stepping up in trip.

A winner at Killarney last time out, Bolger is running out of options for the good-ground lover with the Galway Plate unlikely to be on his agenda.

“I hope he’s got a big future ahead of him, he seems to have come out of the Killarney race really well,” said Bolger.

“It’s just finding races for him now is the hard thing — this is the next available step for him.

“I know it’s two-mile-five but he was second to Disko at Down Royal over nearly two-mile-four in November on soft ground so the trip shouldn’t be a problem.

“He’ll like the ground so we’re looking for a big run. It looks a good race, though. There’s plenty of horses like him who need the good ground and everyone is following the dosh around.

“This was the only race available for him until mid-July. There’s only the Galway Plate and I’m not sure that would be his track as he loves jumping and Galway has an almost three-furlong run-in after the last.

“We’ll see how he goes in this.”

Ballycasey, Woodland Opera, Champagne West and Val De Ferbert are among the nine runners.
