Se Mo Laoch gained a deserved 'first' success at Kilbeggan today as the Brian McMahon trained gelding landed the Book Online kilbegganraces.com Handicap Hurdle under amateur jockey Eoin Mahon.

Se Mo Laoch was a winner at McMahon's local Sligo course in July 2017 but was later disqualified when a prohibited substance was discovered and following today's 'breakthrough' win, at the 18th attempt, McMahon said “Eoin Mahon is a savage help to me every day and comes in with a smile on his face, works hard and is never in a rush to leave.

“He’s a great lad and I’m delighted for him as much as myself and the owner Martin Morrissey.

“He’ll tip away over hurdles and fences. Every day he gives his running and you can’t ask for any more than that.”
