Dualla Time made all to take the opener at Clonmel, the Ancient East Mares Maiden Hurdle.
Successful on debut in a point-to-point at Kilfeacle in January, the daughter of Cloudings was fourth on her last two starts at Ballinrobe and Sligo respectively.
Sent off at 7/2 this evening, the six-year-old, who is owned by Michael Joseph Moloney, was sent straight to the front by Liam Quinlan.
She was pressed approaching two out by the 2/1 favourite Ebaa Hana but went on again after that flight and kept on well from the last to score by six lengths. Helly Hansum (10/1) came through to take second under Andrew Ring for Denis Hogan, while the aforementioned market leader faded back to third, another twelve lengths away. Try Dollys Sister looked beaten in third when she hit the last and unseated Paddy Kennedy.
Ryan said afterwards: "I thought she would win today. She won her point-to-point in Kilfeacle, and some good winners have come out of it.
"We rode her wrong and should have made the running in her maiden hurdles as she does stay and jump really well.
"She'll make her presence felt in a few of the novice hurdles for the summer. She's a nicely bred filly, and the dams half-brother (The Oozler) won the Land Rover Bumper."
STEWARDS REPORTS
S.W. Flanagan, rider of Alpine Scent trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having sustained an injury.
At the request of the Stewards, D.E. Mullins, rider of Golden Glory trained by Ms Margaret Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he raced wide through out in search of more favourable ground conditions.
