Former handicapper and part-owner Ciaran Kennelly was on hand at Ballinrobe to see his Harvest Bow justify favouritism in the Portwest 3-y-o Maiden Hurdle under Sean Flanagan.

Noel Meade ’s charge tracked the leader in second, and she improved to lead travelling well after two out.

The daughter of Intikhab went clear at last, pushed out and staying on strongly on the run-in to easily defeat second market choice Colfer Me by twelve lengths.

“She beat all bar Emmet Mullins’ the last day (Fujimoto Flyer, subsequent Listed scorer at Auteuil) and I don’t think God almighty would have beaten that,” said Meade.

“She was entitled to win and she stays so well that the two miles two here was a help. She wants that easy ground too.”
