Gordon Elliott completed a treble when Bigbadandbeautiful (11/2, from as short as 9/4 in the morning) belied market weakness to take the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mucklemeg Mares’ Bumper in the hands of Jamie Codd.

The five-year-old got the better of Getaway Gorgeous (3/1 fav) inside the final furlong to defeat that one by three lengths, with another five lengths back to Majestic Maid (20/1) in third.

The winner had won at Clonmel in May on her most recent start, having previously been runner-up in a Grade Two at the Dublin Racing Festival in February.

It was a good afternoon’s work for Elliott, who remarked: “Jamie said she was very good after she won in Clonmel. I was a bit nervous that she might not be fit enough but she’s a good mare.

“He said after Clonmel that you won’t have a better one in the yard. She doesn’t show a lot at home but she was very good there.

“She’ll probably stick to bumpers and could go back on the Flat as well. There is a Listed bumper at Navan that she could go for.”
