Jonathan Moore bookended the card at Limerick with success on Minella Fair in the concluding beginners' chase.

The race wasn't without incident for the jockey, though, as he overcame a slipped saddle.

A nimble jump at the second last saw his mount move clear of Cracking Smart who soon came under pressure.

Minella Fair bounded away for a comfortable victory by eight and a half lengths at 5/2.

Cracking Smart, the 4/6 favourite, kept on at one pace for second.

Jonathan Moore said: "Last season he never got his ground but this year if we have a proper winter there'll be loads of fun to be had with him. Hopefully he can be very smart.

"I didn't really notice my saddle had slipped until I pulled up but I was just making sure my lead bag was there. It went right back."

Moore was filling in for Sean Flanagan who is out of action for a short period after a fall at Downpatrick on Friday.

Moore won the opener on Darver Star for Gavin Cromwell.
