Jockeys for the Marlin Hotel Dublin Handicap Chase at Galway today rode in pink breeches in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and victory in the end went to the J.P. McManus owned, John Kiely trained Portmore Lough under jockey Mark Walsh.

The son of Presenting had missed three years' racing between August 2015 and September 2018 due to injuries but today followed up a recent course win on October 8, when proving two and three parts of a length too strong for today's runner-up Sumos Novios

Kiely wasn't present and afterwards McManus' racing manager Frank Berry stated “you can't beat a bit of course form around here.

“They went a right gallop and his jumping kept him in the race and he has done it lovely.

“The dry night helped him definitely and he jumps great and it kept him in the race.

“He has had his problems over the years but touch wood he is staying in one piece and it is lovely to see him come good and win a few nice races. We'll tip away in handicaps.”
