Trainer Jessica Harrington and stable jockey Shane Foley have enjoyed a memorable first season together and combined successfully to win the Winter Series At Dundalk 2020 Handicap at Dundalk today with Charcor
The pair combined for two Group 1s, two Group 2s and a Group 3 win this season and today Charcor gained his own second career success when beating runner-up Sky Seven by a length.
Foley later stated “he had a lovely run up here the last day in a good competitive handicap.
“We were quietly confident coming today as he seemed to be working well.
“He saw it out well. We didn't go fast and he was in the right spot which helped.
“He's been knocking on the door all year. He was second in Killarney and got 5lb for it, it's always hard when horses are running well and get put up for it.”
