Father and son team of Andy and Andrew Slattery were on the mark in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction (Colts & Geldings) Maiden at Tipperary today as their War Flight won comfortably on his second start.

The son of War Command was having his first run since a promising debut at Dundalk in February and today quickened smartly for a two and a half lengths win over Turbo Command

Afterwards Slattery stated “he is very big and raw, he is 16.2hh. We gave him a run in Dundalk and he has come on plenty from it and I think he is a nice horse.

“He won with his ears pricked and is still a big baby. He is owned by the Goodcraic Syndicate from Sligo and we are open to offers to sell him.

“We have nothing in mind next and we'll make a plan after this.”
