Epson Du Houx (evens) is now a two time Powerstown Park victor after putting behind a Wexford fall to triumph in Clonmel Racecourse Supporters Club Beginners Chase.

From the front he was inclined to jump a little to his left under Rachael Blackmore, but the Gigginstown House Stud-owned and Henry de Bromhead-trained six-year-old was big and bold a lot of the time.

A few rivals tried their cases approaching two out. Blackmore was just holding her mount together though, happy that another couple of good jumps would seal success.

The Diamond Boy gelding delivered and went on to account for Whereyounow (bumped two out) by eight and a half lengths.

"He took a heavy enough fall the last day so it was great to get him back jumping in that manner today,” reported the winning rider.

"He can be quite hard on himself but relaxed today so that was a big help."

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Lean Araig, trained by Oliver McKiernan, for failing to comply with the provisions of Rule 90 (i), (late to present animal).

P.T. Enright, rider of Rocky Shores trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Whereyounow trained by Rodger Sweeney, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake at the second.
