Jordan Gainford booted home his first racecourse treble when Fancy Foundations took the beginners' chase over an extended two miles three furlongs at Down Royal.

The 7/4 chance made good headway to dispute the lead three out. He moved to the head of the affairs before the next where he wasn't fluent, but that didn't stop him drawing clear after the last.

He beat runner-up Bread And Butter (11/4) by eight lengths. Dis Donc the 6/4 favourite, was another length and a quarter back in third.

Gainford said: "He was very good and he enjoyed his fences. He travelled and quickened up nicely, so he should have a nice campaign for the summer coming.

"I'm sure Denise (Foster) has a plan for him and It's great for the owners also."

This was also a treble on the card for Foster. Earlier, Don Diablo (3/1) and Tullybeg (7/2) delivered for her and Gainford.
