Demoted at the Curragh in May, Citronnade gained a first win at Killarney today, making all in the Torc Waterfall (Fillies) Maiden for trainer Jessica Harrington and jockey Shane Foley.

The daughter of Lemon Drop Kid passed the post a short-head ahead in a Curragh maiden on 1,000 Guineas day in May but subsequently lost the race, for interference, to promoted winner Wild Dollar, who himself provided combined license holders Eddie and Patrick Harty with a first win.

Following today's front-running length and a half win over Rosscarbery trainer Harrington stated: “It was very much worth the trip. She was disqualified the last day, right or wrong, but I wasn't going to appeal it.

“She has done that well and will be a nice filly in the autumn — she wants every bit of that soft ground and that 1m4f trip.”
