Supreme Jet made all for an easy 17 lengths win in Punchestown's 20% Off Festival Tickets Maiden Hurdle (div II) today, scoring for trainer Oliver McKiernan and stable jockey Barry Browne.

Well beaten on his previous run on heavy ground at Limerick over Christmas, the son of Jet Away today went well clear from the second last and stayed on strongly to easily beat runner-up Mr Saxobeat

Afterwards McKiernan, who sent out Follow The Plan to win the 2011 Punchestown Gold Cup at the track, reported “I’d say he got bogged down in the ground at Limerick - it was very deep, holding ground.

“He has a nice bit of experience jumping which I thought might be a help to him if we were going to make plenty of use of him.

“I’d like to think he can go on goodish ground. He’s a good scopey horse and should make a nice chaser.”
