FormscanBy Mark Nunan - MULGRAVE struggled off marks in the 70s after back-to-back course and distance victories in late 2020. He has come back down to a competitive mark judging by his last two runs here which saw him beaten no more than two lengths, including when runner-up to a useful mare just over a fortnight ago with Notforalongtime back in fourth. With his stable continuing to send out winners under both codes, the six-year-old can regain the winning thread. Jered Maddox is another Dundalk regular who has come back to form of late with a win and two places. His four wins at this venue have been over shorter trips but he was denied by just a short head over this distance last time and was successful off this mark a year ago. Barbapapa is a lightly-raced course and distance maiden winner who ran an encouraging race after over six months off when third here in December. He should be better for that outing and Sam Ewing is an interesting booking. %0A
