FormscanBy Alan Magee - KING OF SCOTIA was bought for 65,000 guineas at the Breeze Up Sale in Newmarket this spring and made a very promising debut in a Curragh maiden over this trip when beating all bar Continuous. That form received a timely boost when the Ballydoyle winner went on to land a Group 3 at Saint-Cloud last Friday. Song For Whoever had Almendares over two lengths back in third when the pair filled the places on debut in the six-furlong maiden won by Arinniti here last month. John O’Donoghue’s charge came home well and should appreciate this extra furlong. Brighter London also made a promising start at Naas last month, while it will be interesting to see how strong the Joseph O’Brien-trained pair Deus Vult and For The Faithful are in the market. Woodcock Flight is by far the most experienced in the line-up but tends not to find much off the bridle.
