FormscanBy Tom Weekes - ALLAHO won this race last year before his electric display in winning the Ryanair Chase. Last month's John Durkan Chase win was a solid, if not world-beating performance (Asterion Forlonge was in strong contention when falling) and in the context of today's race, he holds Fakir D'oudairies by eight lengths on Punchestown form and beat him 12 lengths at Cheltenham. Fakir D'oudairies is high-class and ideally suited by today's distance but does need to improve to beat the selection. Notebook was reported to be 'sore behind' having attempted to keep pace with Energumene at Cork in December and while a capable chaser on his day, should struggle to win. Battleoverdoyen, who chased home Envoi Allen in a three-runner Grade 1 over Christmas, was reported to be blowing hard post-race when disappointing in this race in 2021 and should struggle to win.
