FormscanBy Gary Carson - A tricky looking contest with a few of these having questions to answer. It looks like a nice opportunity for EKLAT DE RIRE to get his career back on track. The Saddex gelding looked very smart early in his chase career but hasn't been seen since disappointing when sent off favourite for the Thyestes at Gowran in January. His jumping let him down that day and starting off over hurdles looks a prudent move in an effort to rebuild his confidence. Diol Ker sets the standard here off a mark of 146. He is also reverting to hurdling having finished well beaten in the Cork National last month. Ronald Pump makes his first start for Ciaran Murphy and if he recaptured some of his old spark he'd be the one to beat in this. The Schiaparelli gelding ran a couple of decent races over hurdles during the summer without quite looking the force of old.
