FormscanBy Michael Graham - The 143-rated LORD ROYAL can get off the mark over fences for Willie Mullins. He hasn't cut much ice in Grade B and Grade 2 company in this discipline, but this is a marked drop in class. He was runner-up in a beginners' chase at Navan in January last year. He has always been viewed as a chaser even when winning his maiden hurdle at Clonmel. His stablemate, Five O'clock, has to be taken seriously on chasing debut. It was more than two years ago that he won a Grade 3 novice hurdle in Thurles after which Mullins commented that he would be a an out-and-out three mile chaser down the line. He has been lightly raced since then, but now gets his first crack at three miles over fences after failing to land a blow over hurdles at the Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals. Everglow has run in beginners' chases won by more than useful sorts and can get into contention. Caesar Rock and Alfa Mix add further spice to the mix.
