FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Eric McNamara is represented on the double here with The Brimming Water and Meehall, whilst Battling Warrior starts off for the Terence O’Brien yard. None of these are overly easy to fancy and it could pay to primarily focus in on Eurotiep and VINTAGE PROSSECO. Aubrey McMahon rides Eurotiep with his father Luke part of ownership grouping, the Down The Hatch Syndicate. The dual Galway amateur handicap winning jockey’s seven pound claim is a help, but what’s not a help is Eurotiep’s lack of experience over flights. On the other hand Vintage Prosseco has jumping know-how. He did fall in a point-to-point alright. He was fine over hurdles at Down Royal last time though. One would imagine that an extended mile and seven furlongs around a track like Thurles could prove right up Vintage Prosseco’s alley. He’s a free going sort and the rest of them might do well to keep tabs on the Gavin Cromwell hope.
