FormscanBy Gary Carson - Conditions look set to be testing enough and WEMBLEY may prove the pick having already been proven on soft ground. The Galileo colt disappointed on his return at Newmarket when connections felt he didn't handle the track and he looks worth another shot. The form of his second to stable-mate St Mark's Basilica in the Dewhurst last season looks good now after that rival won the French Guineas impressively last Sunday. Lucky Vega stayed on well to the line when third at Newmarket and looks a worthy favourite. He is unproven on this kind of ground but a lot of the sire's stock handle testing conditions well so that gives hope that he'll handle it. Newmarket winner Poetic Flare could only finish sixth at Longchamp last Sunday and this looks a tough ask turning out again so quickly in this kind of ground. His stable-mate Mac Swiney should improve from his comeback run in the Derrinstown Derby Trial at Leopardstown but may need further than this in time to be seen at his best.
