FormscanBy Tom Weekes - NOTRE BELLE BETE was well beaten in the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot last week but has shown smart form already this year. Beaten just 2.5L on debut behind top class Poetic Flare in April, NOTRE BELLE BETE ran well in a useful maiden at Leopardstown in May and while unable to compete at Royal Ascot, drops back to a more suitable trip today and is capable. Emporio was himself fifth in the Irish 2,000 Guineas in May but his form remains inconsistent. Following his fine Classic performance, he was beaten at Listowel and was also held in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot and might find the similarly 100 rated selection too strong. Offiah and Skilled Warrior are able types but should bump into a few too strong while Diamil wasn't beaten far by Emporio at Listowel and looks likely to improve. Punakha was beat a head at Gowran recently but faces a tougher task today while Beagnach Sasta has some place claims.
