FormscanBy Tom Weekes - BEACON EDGE was a smart winning hurdler who is well suited by today's distance on chase debut. A Grade 2 winner at Navan last February, BEACON EDGE was fourth in the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham before falling at Punchestown subsequently. He is well suited by soft and this trip and his trainer had a debut chase winner at Galway last weekend. Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle winner Vanillier also returns from his summer's break on chase debut. He disappointed at the Dublin Racing Festival but had otherwise shown high class staying form and while he could have the ability to win, today's trip is shorter than ideal. Grand Paradis was impressive when winning at Thurles last February and while that form doesn't look over strong, he looks made for fences and should be a capable chaser. Lifetime Ambition took an age to win his maiden hurdle but showed good improvement to win at the Punchestown festival and is another chasing type with claims today. Champagne Gold could also do better over fences but has plenty to find with his high class rivals on hurdles form.%0A
