FormscanBy Tom Weekes - COLLECTIVE POWER, in first-time cheek-pieces, ran well over course and distance in a Claimer last month. He was well held on two earlier handicap runs this year but was second in a handicap here last December and seemed to return to that form on his latest run, with today's rider claiming 7lbs from a career low mark. Red Cymbal has won twice from 44 starts and comes here in good form having place at Bellewstown latest and was previously narrowly touched off over CD in September. Tai Sing Yeh has been running well but might ideally prefer 7f these days while Eglish, under Colin Keane, is a five-time winner who has been running over slightly further but has placed form over CD earlier this year. Cornish Rock is an interesting runner on her debut for Kieran Cotter. She showed just moderate ability last year, finishing mid-field in two handicaps at the end of 2020 but drops 15lbs today for a yard which does well with sprinters, although cheek-pieces are also employed.
