FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - No shortage of choice here, and one envisages punters going in many different directions. Surprisingly enough given the maximum turn-out there are only three last time out winners pitching up, and one of these, DROMORE LAD, gets the nod. Monbeg Notorious triumphed when we last witnessed him, but that was back on St Patrick’s Day at Down Royal, and he’s one of seven Gordon Elliott participants (Cullentra House have first reserve Out Sam too). Chavi Artist, a good scorer at Punchestown a fortnight back, has got to be respected, but Dromore Lad just seems to be arriving here with a lot going for him. There’s been a nice gap of four weeks since his Cork Grand National heroics, over three and a half miles, even if he has a ten pound higher mark to deal with now. The chestnut is back to a track where he’s triumphed three times in the past, albeit over flights. Conor McNamara is aboard with his valuable five pound claim, and as ever trainer John Ryan has been sending out positive vibes in advance of what should be a good spectacle.
