FormscanBy Mark Nunan - NJORD had several of these behind him when caught close home in the big mile handicap here on Tuesday evening, and might go one place better. Jessica Harrington’s progressive sort runs off the same mark before his reassessed rating kicks in and, although 7f is definitely on the sharp side for him, he gets the vote to enhance a good record at the track. Of those behind the selection earlier in the week, On A Session (sixth) might do best having been second in this race last year. Laughifuwant overcame a poor draw to win this last year, so is not ruled out despite being done no favours again (stall 18), but last year’s Irish Cambridgeshire winner Jassaar hasn’t fared well on two previous runs at this venue. Down the weights, Mr Wendell and Flaming Moon have shown a fair bit of potential but it hasn’t been a race in which three-year-olds have prospered in recent times and they might find a few of these too battle-hardened at this stage of their careers.
