FormscanBy Michael Graham - The form of EQUITANT's last run looks very strong, so he is tipped to land this good prize. He was beaten half a length into second at Leopardstown and the third, Lord Rapscallion, and fourth, Big Baby Bull, came out and won on their next starts. The winner of that Leopardstown race, Turbine, and Lord Rapscallion reoppose today, but Equitant is better off at the weights with both of them. That was a more than promising first start for Mick Halford. Bucky Larson brings compelling recent form with him. He is a work companion of Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Siskin, and is in good humour. A Dundalk handicap was snaffled in February, and he then reappeared in June to strike in a good handicap at Gowran Park. The handicapper has had his say with another 6lb added on, but this five-year-old has prospects of defying him. Tauran Shaman hasn't performed how the market expected him to on his last couple of starts. A tongue-strap is tried for this competitive race, and he has the ability to do better.
