FormscanBy Gary Carson - ERIC BLOODAXE was good on his hurdling debut at Naas last month and was expected to strip a bit fitter for that run. The Saint des Saints gelding was a smart bumper performer, beating Ferny Hollow on his debut and finishing fourth at Punchestown back in April behind Kilcruit after returning from a lengthy absence. He looks the sort that could take high order in novice hurdles this term. Big money purchase Ginto won well at the finish when scoring on his hurdling debut over course and distance last month. He was taken out of Monksfield Novice Hurdle here just under two weeks ago and softer ground will probably be more up his street. Gordon Elliott also saddles Mr Fred Rogers, who won on his hurdling debut at Punchestown last month. The Sholokhov gelding looks a nice sort but this is a big step up in class now.%0A
