FormscanBy Alan Magee - Master of Reality won the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan last year and ran well subsequently in defeat on a number of occasions including when third in the Ascot Gold Cup and fourth in the Melbourne Cup. The son of Frankel held a 3-1 advantage in head-to-head meetings with TWILIGHT PAYMENT last season but the places were well and truly reversed in this year’s renewal of the Vintage Crop Stakes which was held over course and distance last month. Master Of Reality was 11 lengths adrift as Twilight Payment dominated from the front and, while the latter probably held a fitness edge, it’s hard to see the places being reversed. Camphor progressed well last year from handicaps into Stakes company and now steps up to this trip for the first time after finishing second to Pondus in the mud at Roscommon last week. Memorabilis should appreciate this trip after staying on well to beat Taramansour (won since) in a 1m4f Fairyhouse maiden last month.
