FormscanBy Tom Weekes - HEWICK caused a surprise to win at Kilbeggan recently and could follow up here. His form was just ordinary prior to his Kilbeggan win but that win was gained as he was upped to a staying trip for the first time since his point-to-point days. He has been raised 8lbs for the win and meets the runner-up then Trouble And Strife 6lbs worse off but could continue to progress a little more. The step up in trip also seemed to benefit Trouble And Strife at Kilbeggan (being a proven flat stayer) and she should run a solid race today. I Will Walk was sixth in that Kilbeggan race but had at least run two solid races in similar handicaps and has some place claims.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-102
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight is 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
