FormscanBy John O'Riordan - PIERRE LAPIN is worth a try over this trip, having long given the impression he needs further than a mile. Connections understandably laid him out for Galway this summer but now that the festival is over, he is immediately stepped up to 10f. Although unproven on the polytrack, he seems reasonably adaptable groundwise, so assuming he handles conditions, he looks one of the classier types in the line-up. Stablemate Bowerman has been out of form of late but perhaps, a return to Dundalk will reignite the spark. Joey Sheridan is a notable booking for the Ado McGuinness trained gelding. Catena Zapata won his maiden here in February and following a below par run at the Curragh subsequently, he was back to something more like his true form last time.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards that are EBF eligible and that at entry have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing, at least one of those runs having been on or after 1st July, 2021 (100 = 10st)
