The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the home straight involving Sir Argus (GB), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed first, and The Last Mardi, ridden by Mr J.J. Codd, placed second, where it appeared bumping had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. Codd stated that they swung in wide into the straight and his horse was green in the closing stages. Mr. Mullins stated that his horse has come in a little when they come to the running rail and has run green. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bellaney Lord, trained by S.R.B. Crawford, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
