Her run in the Irish 1,000 Guineas can be marked up as the runner-up has since landed the Epsom Oaks and the horse behind her in sixth has taken a Group 2. Emphatic Answer has been placed in her last two starts in Group 2 and Listed company. She gets further than this trip, but may not want to see 'firm' in the going description. Affogato is clearly going the right way having won both her starts this season including a three-runner race on quick ground over course and distance last month. She is all heart and there should be more to come from her. Market strength behind Paddy Twomey's Diadora would be interesting given the season he is having.
