An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the final furlong involving Dubai Mile (IRE), placed second, ridden by Daniel Muscutt and Greenland (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Ryan Moore.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Dubai Mile (IRE) as the momentum lost by Greenland (IRE) as a result of this incident was less than the extending ¾ length between these runners at the line.
The interference was found to be accidental as Muscutt’s mount shifted sharply left-handed away from the whip before being quickly corrected, carrying Greenland (IRE) off its intended line.
