Ms L. O'Neill, rider of Wrath Of Titans trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount pulled up lame. K.C. Sexton, rider of Akorakor (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a mistake and was pulled up thereafter. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Wrath Of Titans trained by Gordon Elliott was not weight bearing on the right fore. The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter, Mr. D. Cullen, that A. Ring, rider of Rogue Angel, R.A. Doyle, rider of Thunder And Roses, Ms L. O'Neill, rider of Wrath Of Titans, K.C. Sexton, rider of Akorakor (FR), G.N. Fox, rider of Raz De Maree (FR), D. Meyler, rider of Bearly Legal, B. Hayes, rider of New Kid In Town, C.D. Timmons, rider of Forever Gold and S.J. Crimin, rider of Thomond had all disobeyed his instructions at the start causing a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that all the above named riders were in breach of Rule 208, in that they had failed to obey the starters instructions and having considered their respective records, the Stewards suspended each rider for one raceday.
